I am currently building my first linuxmce box. I have ATT Uverse so I need a TV Card with HDMI inputs to hook my Uverse box to the linux box. Does anyone know of a card I can use or if there is another option?
-
doesnt that box also have component out? If so, another option is the Hauppauge HD-PVR I use one with a DirecTV sat box.

There is not a card available for linux that will handle HDMI. HD PVR is your best bet.
-
will I be able to get 1080i with the component cables. that was my biggest concern.
-
HDMI = DVI + sound, no?
-
and hdcp encryption.

i'm getting 1080i from the HDPVR.
