Title: Will this MD work?
Post by: grind on November 18, 2011, 07:01:46 pm
Hey guys,
I'm planning to order a new MD the next days and i was wondering if that'll work out of the box?

Intel DH67CFB3 Mainboard
Intel Core i3-2120 CPU
Mushkin 4 GB DDR3-1333

It might be oversized for video-playback but Console-Emulation is one of the key-features for me...

Thanks!
Nicolai

When looking for spec sheets, I could only see "Integrated graphics support for processors with Intel Graphics Technology" - which probably means they use a version of Intel GMA as onboard graphics. I am unsure about how well this is supported, you might want to go with a mobo with onboard nVidia or a separate nVidia GPU card.

If anyone else are using GMA with success, feel free to chime in and correct me though.

The iGPU is the one on the CPU.
On a Core i3 that'll be an Intel HD 2000. Don't know if that's some sort of GMA but from what i read it's performing very well.
Only question left is if that's supported by LMCE?

Does anyone have his MD running on a Core i3?

Thanks,
Nicolai

You can run Intel... but it sucks.

321.68... with DVD... and a hard drive you can remove and do something else with.
Tiny, awesome performance, with a vesa mount.
