Title: Walkthrough for Hauppauge PVR-150
Post by: archived on January 04, 2007, 06:52:50 am
I was wondering if anyone could offer up a walkthrough on setting up a Hauppauge PVR-150 PCI single tuner card.  I have been reading and it seems like it should be simple to setup, however i am having trouble.  I add it to the MD and reboot the entire hybrid system.  When i enter mythtv setup and try to setup capture cards it does not see any devices.   This is right after a default install.  It is a hybrid system.   Do i need to manually install the IVTV drivers from the linux command line?  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

Here is the current setup.

Dell Optiplex GX-260
1 GB Ram
1 x 80gb HDD
Nvidia Gforce MX4000 AGP low profile 128meg

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Harq

Hi,

I hadly remember, but I think you don't have to do anything by hand, beside specifying IVTV card over web admin. I'd try to see startup logs and search for ivtv messages. Maybe something is wrong in there.

Anyway, Pluto has fairly stock mythtv installation, so majority of docs and procedures can apply...

HTH,

regards,

Rob.

Thank you for the information.  I will surf the mythtv pages to find out what to do.

Thanks again.
