Title: SHutdown not an option in KDE
Post by: dcubox1 on March 22, 2010, 11:21:19 AM
I recently installed a snapshot of 810 and all seemed fine until I installed LMCE.
Now when I go to Kubuntu and try to shutdown the only option I get is logout!!
Is there a fix for this?

Odd. I don't have access currently but I am pretty sure reboot and shutdown are options off the KDE menu. In the mean time you could always either:
Go to webadmin => wizard => restart (select halt or reboot as required) or;
login via ssh and do a 'sudo reboot' or some such.

The options are there but selecting any of them will always result in a logout as supposed to a reboot, shutdown, etc!!
its as if they all have the same functionality (logout). Strange thing is they worked as they should before LMCE install!!

As i understand, LMCE wraps a lot of things, including KDE, and as i noted, shutdown or reboot is controlled by OSD Advanced and Power options.
