Title: still image as cover art?
Post by: Newguy2 on March 16, 2010, 04:35:36 AM
Before moving on to lmce I was using windows mce, which used a snapshot still image of a scene in a movie as cover art rather than just the title like in lmce. Is possible to have the same rather than having to go to the admin and go through IMDb for multiple files?

You can do this (at least in UI2) but it doesn't do it automatically.

start the program/film and then press the 'thumbnail' button.  It will take a screen shot and then ask you which file in your playlist you want to assign it to.  if you have only selected one file to play it will let you assign it to that one only.

On the webadmin page you can edit attributes for all files in a directory and then upload a jpg for the entire directory for a tv series for instance.  I do both.

I wonder what it would take for it to be done automatically like in wmce?
