Thanks to everyone who helped make the Beta a reality.
To all of you, I have thrown in an early christmas present, for all american users, we have access to the Hulu Desktop, as a media type inside the system, to easily watch content hosted on Hulu.com.
I have placed a demo video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guIhhMdSn5A
Again, Thank you all.

And everywhere else :)
Waiting for the first network to dare go international with a concept like Hulu. I'd pay for that :)

No, it is cool... patiently waiting for Thom to check in the "necessary bits" so I can take it for a test drive with the woman.
I need to check the forum more often. Great work.
Now for my obvious newb question, once the bits are chedked in, is it a matter of doing an update from the sqlCVS link under advanced?
yes.

Awesome work Thom!
Thom, looked at the hardware requirements for Hulu desktop and they seemed quite steep, are they really as stiff as they are claiming or is that an incredibly high-balled list?
Yup, it's a flash projector.

1 - will something like an Acer Revo (N230 cpu/ION LE) be enough for hulu?
2 - http://gizmodo.com/5387909/hulus-free-glory-days-are-officially-numbered
No.

Minimum hardware requirements listed for the application include a system with an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz CPU and at least 2GB of RAM.

Actually found the specs, Intel Core Duo @ 1.8GHz (not a Core 2 Duo). I have heard rumors of flash acceleration similar to H.264 for the nVidia ION boards, but until something like that is out and supported for Linux it sounds like the ION boards are a no-go for Hulu.
That really sucks.
Just want to say: great taste in TV shows ;D
