Hello all,
I had a questions regarding setup. I have installed and got my Core up and working and would like to add a few Media Stations however I was not able to locate a install for it. Do I need to install the Media Station just as I did with the Core (DVD Setup)? I have decided to stay away from the netboot option and do a install. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
All media directors are diskless and require PXE boot from the core. Just plug the MD into your "internal" LMCE network, choose PXE boot in the BIOS and turn it on... it will build itself from there... there is no reason to avoid netbooting, don't over-think it, just go with the design

Welcome Jay.
Follow Colin's advice. Local boot (ie from a local hard drive inside the MD) was supported for MD's in an earlier release of LinuxMCE but it is not supported currently.
All the best
