Hi,
I'm new to MCE,
Is is possible to control the temperature of a room without a thermostat ?
I have Temperature sensors and appliance modules for the electric heaters. Can MCE monitor the temperature and send ON/OFF orders to regulate the température ? ( Act as a thermostat )
Thanks,
Xav
yes, but you'll need to create the event logic for reacting to temperature, time of day, etc criteria yourself.

You'll probably want some extra over-temperature protection on the heaters in the (unlikely) case that the core goes down after sending "power on" to the heater. Don't want your place to burn down...

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking to set the built-in thermostat 1-2 degrees above the normal operating temperature, thus in case of failure, it would not overheat.
That would do it. Have fun!
