Post by: speeder13 on July 31, 2009, 05:46:40 AM
Is there any recommended campatible USB webcam which can be used for video conferencing in LinuxMCE?

I ad searched thru the whole forum.. No1 is mentioning anything bout recommended webcam :-[..and i couldn't find any in wiki as well.. I am afraid after i bought them(2 webcams) and they do not work.

Any1 has tried any brand and modal of USB webcam which can work under LinuxMCE?

As i mention, i juz nid it for video conferencing.. Which i do not need those motion detecting function.

I wish i can get some answers here.. Thanks.. every1.. :D

In the 'Cameras' section of the hardware list on the Wiki there are a few:

Some generic info is available here:

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/USB_Surveillance_Camera (http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/USB_Surveillance_Camera)

there is some info:

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Logitech_Quickcam_Pro_5000 (http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Logitech_Quickcam_Pro_5000)

I have a logitech Quickcam and mine worked fine with an earlier install but I haven't tried it recently
