For the interested,
I bought an Hava Platinum HD, (http://myhava.com/product_hava_platinum_hd.html) and i want to integrate it with MCE.
Coming soon additional infos...
I looked at those a while back, I even spoke with one of their devs and he informed me that you needed a closed source player to be able to watch the streaming content... so probably not much you can do to integrate it with LMCE unfortunately, other than just controlling the unit.
A recent topic in their forum says they are improving the remote (rtsp) rate of streaming in a 4000 kb/s, soon we would be able to receive easly the rtsp:// stream, which actually is limited to 1200 kb/s.
Moreover the Hava firmware is Open under GPL i think.
That would be great news, but like I said... when I asked the dev directly he said the stream was encrypted and could only be viewed with their client software. Maybe it has changed as that was a few months ago.
I posted in their forum, let's wait some days and then i'll contact the devs if there are any upcoming news, o maybe you can contact them.
hmm, ethernet attached component capture device...
/drool
:D
hope something good comes out of this, would be an awesome device to have support for!
Merkur2k: thats what I was thinking when I first saw the device.. mpeg-2 multicast over the network, would be an awesome addition. Especially since it has component inputs and only costs $145. Its unfortunate that it doesn't just output an unencrypted stream
In fact, would be awsome to have the stream ready to use.
Hava has 2 mode of streaming.
1) Encripted mpeg2 - LOCAL MODE
2) rtsp with a max of 1,2 Mb/s but thy are REALLY working to reach the 4 mb/s quality. - REMOTE MODE
So the first step is to receive the remote stream, and working later on the local one.
