it does look good
US versoiin is the X50

It's shuttle's 1.4" thick atom-based rival to the ASUS Eee Top and MSI Wind Neton. The Shuttle X50 has a 15.6-inch 1366 x 768 16:9 resistive touchscreen, Intel’s Atom 330 dual-core processor,1GB of memory, 945GC mainboard, and GMA 950 graphics for about $500 with Win XP.
Have you found one without HD & OS for less?

On the European website it is configurable, but only with extra mouse and keyboard.
I have send Shuttle and e-mail with your suggestions, as soon as I get a reply I let you know.
In the Netherlands:
X-50XA 15.6 Atom330 1GB 160GB noOS: 380 Euro, this is ex margin and VAT/BTW
With OS the price is Euro 450 ex profit and VAT/BTW

There are no options to remove the OS or Hard Drive currently... this is essentially an Eee Top but with the ATOM-330 dual core (but no Black finish option ;-) )...other than that its really functionally the same.

This is the price shops can buy it.
Also reply from Shuttle (mighty fast), all builtin hardware will stay builtin, so no harddiskless as for now
Same price even without the OS?
Ehm
Maybe I am not awake, but I think I wrote
With OS EURO 450 (this is without margin and taxes)
Without OS EURO 380 (this is without margin and taxes)
It is a difference of 70 euro
lol... I wasn't awake... Thanks!
I do not know
But serious why would you want too.
This device is all in one......
Maybe to mount it on a VESA wall mount??
Interesting!
Hope, the touchscreen is ELO similar or even supported by the 7.10/8.10...
the touch screen is most likely an HID device supported by the evtouch driver, or as a mouse device.

This has a VESA mount on the back -- does the Asus have one too?
The ASUS Eee Top has a removable desktop stand (similar in design to the X5000TA) and an optional wall mount bracket can be attached.

Yep... your probably correct. See my Eee Top Wiki article; http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/ASUS_Eee_Top (http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/ASUS_Eee_Top)
The X5000TA looks to be a virtually identical spec to the Eee Top.

I misread him
I thought he was talking about the VGA-output.
I should drink less
