I have two HP IPAQ 2215 PDA's laying around gathering dust that I would love to be able to use as an orbiter. How hard would it be to get them to work over bluetooth? Compatible wifi card are a little hard to find now. I think i might be able to get one for around $35 but it is hard to tell if it would even work with my old PDA. Plus I would rather give money to the community if some one was able to help me get it working.
Thanks
Anthony

Hi Anthony_Molg,
I assume you have checked the available mobile orbiters...?
Does it run Java? If so you could try the JavaMO. It's not pre-installed in 710, but can easily be added.
br,
sambuca
It is not a phone. I would not think that it would be able to run JAVA well if at all. I am able to get the XScale WinCE software to install and run, but it has no option for bluetooth.
I think I can get a midlet manager to run on Windows Pocket PC 2003 but it would not have bluetooth support so I guess i am SOL on Java too.
Damn I was getting hopefull too. :'(

Just attach a wifi card. Done. Don't make it difficult.

I think that is what i am going to do. I just need to find one that is compatible with such an old OS. :) They are getting a little harder to come by.
I was mostly asking about bluetooth to see if it was explored or not.
Thanks for your help,
Anthony
you could also use a bluetooth PAN.
