Hello,
I am working with Linux for my first time and looking to build a HTPC using LinuxMCE 0710 RC2. I am looking at buying a MSI Media Live DIVA 5.1 (MSI-7411). MY question is, as I read thru the forums I can't seem to get a clear answer if this motherboard is supported?
Thanks,
Eboley
This is all I could find in the wiki quickly..

Doesn't say yeah or nay though.
This wiki page may help:

This is your first time with Linux? What kind of computer background do you have? Not to put you off, but LMCE is not a beginner's software. Granted, once it is installed and configured properly, it is incredibly easy to use, but not incredibly easy to install. Your biggest hangup will be hardware compatibilty. goto the wiki and check out the user setups. There, several users have cataloged their lmce equipment and experiences. Also, watch some of the videos that I made. They talk about entry level stuff and help newbies get off the ground. If you want a good learning envirnoment, try installing ubuntu and mythtv on top of it. That way, you'll become familiar with linux and mythtv, which is used in LMCE
Just go for nvidia chipset and nvidia cards and you be fine!
Afkpuz,
I have a considerable amount of computer experience, just not in the linux field. I am just trying to find a inexpensive/ compact way of building a HTPC, and further down the road adding more options to the HTPC like security and lighting.
Thank you for the pointers of were to look in the forum.
