I added a Freecom USB drive to my hybrid system. When detected I told the system to put the MCE file structure. There is one directory but I do not see any other folders if I look through the KDE desktop. When ripping a CD a get the option to use the disk but the ripping fails.
Do I need to do more before I can use the drive. I looked at this page on the wiki but it is not clear to me:
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Storage_Devices
In the router I find the following error:
opendir1 /mnt/device/34/public/data/audio/ failed: No such file or directory
I quess It did not create the directory structure. Can I recreate it with the command and if that fails can I just copy the structure from the internal disk ?
What files system is the drive formated with?
I did not format it at all it just came out of the box. It is one of the power adapter free ones with software. Could it be that I first have to remove that. In what should I format it.
Maybe first should I remove it from my system before I unplug ?
Interesting happening. After a reboot it looks that the system suddenly got busy on the external disk and created the file structure. Is it normal that you need a reboot for this to happen ?
I finally got the drive formatted based on the method described on the wiki. I wanted to recreate the folder structure. Probably a stupid way but I removed the device of my external disk in the admin website. I hoped that it would rediscover the drive and ask me to create the directory structure.
Well certainly this is not happening. Is there a procedure to get the disk used by LinuxMCE again ?
clear the pnpque perhaps.
Tim
Can someone tell me what the pnpque is and where to find it. Or do you have other suggestions
Hi, when going through Uncategorized pages on the wiki I quess I found the answer to the question. I will try this tonight on my system. I moved the page together with some other pages to the Tutorials.

Will check more of the Uncategorized pages. There is interesting stuff. I will try to put them in the right cathegory.
Yes thats the one I also been able to delete the one device by using its ip-address in as a parameter in the query.
don't think it matters either way.
