Hi,
kids' DVD got damaged. Can I make another copy out of Pluto's saved image and how ?
Regards,
Rob.
Hi Rob
I don't know whether it would be possible to burn a dvd from Pluto saved image, but I remember a post where those images were described basically like iso images so there are some chances.
If dvd is not heavily damaged you may give it a try with dvdisaster (www.dvdisaster.com). I never used it but i've read that it's a good tool and it's open source.
It can also help you to create a crc image file that consistently increase the possibility to fully recover a damaged dvd. This may not be your case (you have to create crc image before dvd gets damaged), but probably it's worth a try.

pluto isn't able at this time to let you burn an image or data files.

Hi,
thanks for info. I was curious if I can somehow use that image to burn DVD manually (maybe with few commands to burn it to DVD).
What's the structure of .dvd file under Pluto ?

Rob.
i was told that .dvd is very close to .iso
so i guess you can install a burner and change the extension form .dvd in .iso an try to burn it
