Hi all
I am living in switzerland and trying to setup mythtv with a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 MCE in linuxmce 710
The problem is that I get only about 4 different channels. This might come from that I dont understand settings like "pal , pal-bg , channel frequency table (cant choose switzerland !! maybe default or europe-west?) . Anybody has a hint for this kind of problem?
Thanks in advance!
Roberto

any idea?
Hi
Thanks su much for your help
I have the frequenzy list, now I wonder where and what I exactly have to do (finetune in the myth backend).
Where is this? And do I have to do the standard channel scan first (with settings europe-west and Pal BG) and then fine tune the resulting list with the frequency list? Or just enter the channels with the frequency list...but where exactly?
I know, a lot of questions, but I already invested a lot of time and did not get very far. Now I can see some light at the end of the tunnel!
I would really appreciate pointing me in the right direction :-)
cheers
Roberto

39 cablecom infochannel 551.25 UHF Band IV K31
Now it looks like after a normal scan (europe-west and pal-bg) i automatically can see the channels with a "Kxx" at the end of its line in the frequency table (for example K39; the last one in the list).
The point is that for example for channel 34 if i choose the channel in channel editor and i want to check the frequency, the frequency is set correctly (in this case of channel 34 its set to 161250, as for channel 38 ist set to 471250). So what should i fine tune here?
If i just start mythtv i can see channel 34 in the list with the name set to "SE9" while the working channels have a simple number as name (for example a "21")
in the above frequency list channel 34 has at the end of its line written "S09", in mythtv it has automatically been named "SE9"
On a Windows XP machine I have a different tv card and I can see "channel 34".
Any idea?
If no ideas, I have a different idea but i dont know if its possible: if I choose to scan with something other then europe-west, I DO get some OTHER channels, so is there a possibilite to combine channels found scanning different frequencies?
I really apreciate the help found in this forum
cheers
Roberto
Thanks all for your help, I will keep on trying
