Title: Track Number Attribute?
Post by: PeteK on April 21, 2008, 03:18:57 AM
Hi.  I'm running 0710 b4.  I downloaded the updated Media_Plugin.so file per the instructions on the wiki here:
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/KnownIssues_0710_Beta4

I noticed that while ripping CDs, I'm still not getting track number showing up as an attribute.  Can anyone confim whether or not this is happening with their cd rips?

Thanks,
-Peter

Which format are you ripping to? I know this was fixed for flac but I don't know if the fix has fully propagated yet. I don't know if it has been tested for other formats. Since each format seems to have a different way of managing attributes and tags fixing one may not help another.

I ripped to .flac and I can confirm that there was no track number attribute applied in the db.  The flac files themselves have ogg tags with track number.  I guess I'll retry with RC1 and report my results.  Has anyone else tried the beta4 fix and seen positive results?
