Mythweb is working great except for the Backend Status page.(http://192.168.80.1/mythweb/status) I get:
Error at /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/modules/status/handler.php, line 29:
file_get_contents(http://192.168.80.1:6544) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed!
Any help would be appreciated.
Sounds like something that should be logged in mantis, does anybody else see this problem?
I have just moved to a brand new box Intel dual core, nvidia 8400 GS 512megs ram and 2 Gigs in the system.
Watching live TV is freezing frequently and running top shows the mythbackend hogging the machine.
Just done a clean install from CD's with beta 3.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Dave
Another piece of information. After trying everything that I could think of, I turned off the second CPU/core. Seems to be running fine. If it continues, then it is a locking issue when running SMP.

Do you have XVMC enabled for that Media director?
Not sure who the XVMC question is for? But if it not on by default then now. I have determined that the frequency is much lower when one core is turned off via the BIOS but it still locks up - maybe hours.

Bump to see if anyone else is getting this...
Getting this message means that either the mythbackend and/or mysql has crashed. I got this on 710 Beta 3 but it went away when I upgraded to Beta 4.
Also check to see if your password for the mysql.txt password is the one that is generated during your install and not mythtv:mythtv
I personally think that is what is causing the crashes.
Wiped and reinstalled clean using beta 4 and this is fixed. I'm not seeing any longer though, the place where I can add pictures for channels and shows... So at least this issue is fixed. Others were introduced, but the system is usable
