Title: Wiki Spam
Post by: geoffrey on February 21, 2008, 08:21:35 AM
I just removed a bunch of spam from the wiki and noticed from the changelogs that it is an ongoing problem.

There is a simple Captcha extension available that should prevent the bot submitted spam at:

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ConfirmEdit

perhaps it could help.

Sounds like a good idea, something has to be done about this.

Captcha in wiki is not displayed:

This reCAPTCHA key isn't authorized for the given domain

As result there is no way to post external link.

Maybe a temporary failure only.
