Title: About Raid 1
Post by: bemficag on February 16, 2008, 11:32:19 PM
Hi guys,

That´s the problem: I have a mb abit AN-M2HD w/ 4 SATA slots, and the slot # 2 (SATA2) has one of the pins broke. So, now I have the slots 1, 3 and 4 working. My question is, Can I use Raid 1 w/ the slots 1 and 3???

thanks

What does that have to do with LinuxMCE? You should ask that question on a RAID list, or the manufacturer.

What he was trying to say was that you should check somewhere other than the linuxmce forums. This really is more of a hardware issue that is totally independent of linuxmce.

My best guess would be, that as long as you can activate them both and set them to use the raid you want then they should work fine. it shouldnt matter which port you use as long as you activate them into the raid. you should just try it and see if it works.
