Title: HOW CAN I USE A NORMAL UBUNTU DESKTOP?
Post by: TimmyB on February 13, 2008, 07:03:20 AM
I am having problems getting past the Linux MCE Launch manager and don't know how to get back to just a regular desktop. All I want to know is if I can get to the desktop from the Launch manager window.

Thanks in advance.

Activate Orbiter from the Launch Manager, and in Orbiter window, select the menu item Advanced->KDE Desktop

It would be cool if sometime in the future, there would be a KDE-Desktop button in the launch manager.

I have stopped the orbiter from starting on my Core, so I have to activate it to enter KDE Desktop then stop it again when I'm in.

Well you see thats my problem, I click on the activate orbiter button and nothing happens, so I am just stuck there at the launch menu. FRUSTRATING!!! I have posted in detail about the problem in the installation issues forum with no response!
