I can't seem to get the parent device from ANY object in ruby.
device_.parent_ returns nil

device_.childdevices_[cmd.devidto_].parent_ SHOULD report the device_.devid_
It's reporting nil

Is this not correct?

another piece of tidbit:
parent_.inspect kills the device...
