Title: Meridian G68 RS-232 anyone?
Post by: Marie.O on January 04, 2008, 05:00:09 PM
Hello,

I need to control a Meridian Soundprocessor. I found the RS-232 codes, (http://www.meridian-audio.com/lib_apps.htm (http://www.meridian-audio.com/lib_apps.htm)), but wondered, if anyone has created a PNP script for this device?

No, we haven't.. but it's not hard... look at the device templates for the Sharp Acquos LCxxD6U/D7U... they reference shell scripts...which you can find in /usr/pluto/pnp

basically, they send test messages using TestSerial, and use MessageSend to send the appropriate (yes, it is this device, no it is not) command. Not difficult.

In case anyone else finds this via a search engine. The Meridian Audio G68 is plug and play since April 2008.
