Title: Computer Locking UP
Post by: kmurrey on December 01, 2007, 05:39:53 PM
I tried to install using a new computer that has an MSI board.  During the install the computer would just reboot.  I tried to add noacpi nolacpi as indicated in the help.  It would still reboot.

So I decided to use another computer to do the install. The install worked flawlessly in the older computer.  So I installed MCE on it and got it working.  So I then decided to but the HD back into the new computer.  The computer now boots but lockes up in MCE.  The mouse moves but it appears that mouse clicks don't do anything / nor does the keyboard do anything.

On bootup it does say to add pnpbios=off - but where/how do I do that since my PC boots right into LinuxMCE?

Any other thoughts, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What MSI MB are you using?

MSI K9N6SGM-V Socket AM2 Motherboard.

I have purchased a new board (Asus) which will be here in a couple of days.  But would still like to get this working for a storage unit.
