Title: Switching user in Orbiter does not show private media
Post by: chrisbirkinshaw on November 01, 2007, 09:41:05 PM
I have created a user and assigned some videos to that user as private. Call this user john.

My linuxmce default user is chris. When I load an MD I go to the bottom of the screen and change the user to john, but john's media does not appear in the videos list.

I also discovered that even when the box at the bottom of the screen indicates john is logged in, clicking options in the videos menu offers only Public and chris in the filter options, not john.

How can john see his videos?

Thanks,

Chris

If nobody can help can anyone indicate that they have this working?

Hi Chris,

I'm just trying to reproduce your test here... will post again once I have got some positive or negative results ;-)

....right I can reproduce it here too. So i have mantis'd it here http://mantis.linuxmce.org/view.php?id=3693

Well spotted!

Glad someone else has seen it. Seems like a pretty core function so I was doubting myself!

Thanks,

Chris

Yep... just shows how easy it is for little bugs like this to slip through!

We need more people on the forum to report these kinds of problems here http://mantis.linuxmce.org/my_view_page.php
Clearly it is important to make sure you are reporting a 'new' issue and not just repeating something that has already been reported.

Anyway good spot!

Andrew
