LinuxMCE is a fork of Plutohome.

Plutohome contains device drivers to control X10 devices, it is not a separate package.

when plutohome brings out a new version can you upgrade it in linux mce or do you need to wait for a new linux mce release ?

LinuxMCE folds in patches from Pluto's SVN, and thus the two releases are in sync, in fact...MCE's feature set improves faster than Pluto at the moment, so that's not the issue...

I don't think you fully understand, this is not a traditional distribution as sorts. IT IS A FULLY INTEGRATED SYSTEM.
