Title: Compatable video cards
Post by: myusernameisc00 on October 11, 2007, 07:23:57 PM
I have been trying to get ui2 or ui3 to work with my ATI radon 9600 but all i can get to work is ui1. I have decided it might be more worth my time to just buy a cheap  Nvidia card. Does anyone know an easy way to get my card to work and if not does anyone have any suggestions for a good cheap AGP8x card that will display ui3 in 1080i(using VGA) with minimal driver problems.

I purchased an EVGA eGeforce 7300 GT (512MB DDR2 dedicated Ram) from tigerdirect.com about 6 weeks ago, for $94.99 - $20 mail-in rebate...  Seemingly supported fully by the driver installed by the LMCE installer (I tried the newest driver from Nvidia, and it was a nightmare to get working...).

Here's a link, and they're still in stock:  http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3244230&CatId=2234

Don't know if that's what you consider cheap, but it's working well.  Has full HD support, and 1 VGA / 1 DVI / 1 S-Video port, includes a DVI->VGA adapter in box...
