Title: Mock up: Blue Bar theme
Post by: DTS on October 09, 2007, 09:59:48 PM
While we are waiting for a good skinning solution I made this mock up of a possible skin to LinuxMCE. I called it Blue Bar and its a clean "glass" bar design taking up a minimum of screen real estate  while still being nice looking.

What do you think?

Pretty nice, very clean and it looks like something that would be easy to theme off of to create a bunch of different color combinations.

Looks good... :)

Though having blue and green colour makes it too much WinXP for comfort :p

Is there any news about the KDE4 integration? Is LinuxMCE going to be using some existing GUI frameworks?

fantastic, if anything, i'd just drop the opacity of the menu bar back slightly.

Yeah, that did look better. I also upload the svg file if anyone wants to make another color combo.

I will try to adapt the Basic skin to this. you might want to look at the Basic skin to see how many graphic elements need to be updated.

I would like to point out too, that these UIs were designed to be used from 10' away, on a TV.... have you tested these UIs like that?
