It stops at "orbitor Failed to Setup Transparency" "Check if transparency manager is running"..Please advise on what to do. Looks like it ready to startup if I can figure this out.
Thanks
It seems you video card doesn't support Alpha Blended UI2. nVidia 6XXX can do it for sure. You can switch back to UI1 using AVWizard or admin site (on the Media director page choose UI1 instead of UI2).
id try with the CDs. i had that come up once when i used the dvd. the dvd is much quicker but far more finicky also. if you still cant get it with the CDs then it could be the video card. what card are you using?

yeap, i used the DVD :( the reason is cause im gonna produce large scale computers running MCE, so time is $$$.
I am having the same issue with the clean, quick, DVD install, and I have an Nvidia 7900GS. I am trying the Kubuntu install with the MCE package dropped on top of it now. Will report my findings.
