I was wondering if there are plans to enable a blackberry as a remote control for the pluto system.
Nobody's made any mention of it. But it sounds interesting. I don't have a blackberry, does it have wi-fi or Bluetooth or another local network connection so you wouldn't have to go through the cellular network?
what about hp jornada 540 ?
Those work fine. That's a Windows Pocket PC--our existing orbiter runs on it.
Yeah it has Bluetooth but no wi-fi just sounded like a good idea for me since that whould mean that i could use my Blackberry with the pluto system as i dont have any other PDA.
Just sounded cool but if it doesnt happen than oh well but it would be a nice addition for me. Since I am trying to start up my own Home Automation Installation company it would be nice if my work phone was able to control the Pluto system that i might be installing.
Just wanted to follow up, does anyone know if Blackberry support has been added? I'm looking into getting a Blackberry which has Bluetooth...

we don't have yet support for BB.
Blackberry 7100 series as well as the 8200 series both support bluetooth.
what would we need to do to get it supported
besides bluetooth, which is very common, it needs to run on Windows mobile 2003 or Symbian Series 60
Yes i found that out . Unfortuanately Blackberry runs on RIM . so guess this will not happen anytime soon .. thanks for the info..

For the crackberry addicts: Check out the Nokia E61, which has Wifi, a VOIP client and blackberry connect. Oh, and runs on Series 60v3/Symbian 9.1.
