Title: UI2 Keyboard Shortcuts ? For Remote Mapping !
Post by: boudicca on August 04, 2007, 05:42:41 PM
hi all,

Ive found the F Keys but is there no other shortcut keys for Stop Play Pause FF RR Next Last Zoom etc ? Without going via the UI and the Mouse/Remote Mouse or F Keys ?

Shaz

PS I want to use my ATI remote but I don't want to go through rebuilding the kernel to disable ati_remote....just want to use xmodmap etc.

Did you find out the shortcut names for remote mapping??
I could do with finding this out to edit my lircd.conf as most of my remote buttons don't work as they are incorrectly labeled.
I can't find a list on the net.
Anyone have an idea?

I don't use LIRC, but I know the code is in LIRC_DCE, and some people say it all works fine.

There is no need to know anything about lirc; essentially I just need the correct names assigned by LMCE for it's functions so it can read my config file.
i.e. there are lots of ways of naming 'skip forward', I just want to know what LMCE recognises this function as so I can call it the correct name in my lircd.conf.

I'm particularly interested in whether the functions 'media' 'menu' and 'climate' (as in the programmable buttons of the gyro mouse in the first LMCE video) can be assigned to remote buttons with these names

cheers

They're usually located above the number keys... ;)

(Sorry for the bad joke, I just couldn't resist)

There was at least one post on this forum about it iirc, try searching for F7.
