I'm not sure if this is the right way to ask a ticket-related question, but I'll try.
Since Asterisk doesn't seem to work properly on my installation, would it be possible to reinstall the package, and if so, how would I have to go about?
Whenever you want to reinstall a package you can use:
apt-get install --reinstall name-of-package
However, I doubt that will help, all configuration is done by the database entries modified by LinuxMCE.
Try apt-get install --reinstall asterisk pluto-asterisk lmce-asterisk
Believe it or not....reinstall did the job! My phones are all registered, and I have incoming calls
Good to know that every now and than I do provide helpful advise :D
Hmm, it seems the problem has not been completely eradicated. So far asterisk is working. At first I thought it's kernel-upgrades are to blame, but it's actually a problem with rebooting. Asterisk appears to be running, at least when querying the status, but only after restarting asterisk manually, can I get the phones registered.
This could be fun to track down. :o We can set things so that asterisk is restarted after booting. There must be some config that is altered that causes it to require the restart. I'm not running telecom atm so I'm very limited in my ability to troubleshoot this one. Mav do you have any other observations you can add?

So far that's the only thing I found and it's working consistently like that.
Mhm. :( I can't recreate your issue here. My orbiter embedded phones register on each reboot without restarting asterisk. Intercom calls initiate ringing between onscreen orbiters as well.
