Tried this out.
When setting up initial screen resolution HDMI/1080p/60hz, on Continue, system generates tons of system udev-failed to execute lib/udev/socket:@/org/freedesktop/hal/udev_event no such file or directory messages.
Loops back to AVWizard screen - no escape.

Thanks for testing! Unfortunately there is no hald running on 1404. These errors will not go away until that can be fixed. :( 1404 is really on hold until we build something new, or de-bug why hald doesn't stay running on 1404... or if it is even possible.

I see the same issue in 14.04... I did some googling.. found this and tried it..

hal appears to stay running.
