Hey,
i managed build a usb stick that boots gPXE on a Mac!
What it does is it boots into refit and refit boots up syslinux which is booting GPXE.KRN.
Not 100% sure if this description is correct, but it works for me!
Here is my little manual:

Do you think it makes sense to put that part of your wiki in the linuxmce wiki?
yes ... took me ages to find out how this should work! ...
But i need a page for that, i cant create new pages in the wiki :-(
I tried it on 2 USB Stick + a MacMini 2006 and a MacBook Pro 5,2. It worked without any problems.
The only annoying is, iu could not find a way to make it default boot volume. So you have to hold down alt/option and select refit all the time...

You can create new pages. Just login with your forum credentials, and just enter the URL containing the title, for example
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/My_Brand_New_Super_Dooper_Information_Page
It will automatically ask you to create it.
Thx, hm..... but does work now ;-)
Can you enable *.dmg Files ? I cant upload the 13MB File used to create that USB stick.

Send me a location I can get it from, and I shall put it onto one of the LinuxMCE servers
location to download:
http://dokuwiki.knallimall.org/_media/de/linuxmce_macmini_2010_4_1/refit-syslinux-gpxe_small_v2.dmg
thx. It is now available from http://deb.linuxmce.org/refit-syslinux-gpxe_small_v2.dmg in case you want to reference it in the wiki page.
here is the wiki page: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Mac_MediaDirector

I asked the rEFIt-guys to add PXE boot option to rEFIt, which enables every USB-stick with rEFIt installed on to boot from lan.
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3595543&group_id=161917&atid=821767
lets see what happens ....

rEFIt project is not under active development anymore! ...
