Display: Toshiba TV 42" 1080P 120 Hrz model:40G300U1
Diskless MD: MSI built in geforce 8100
Second Display: Sharp Aquas 40" 1080P 120 Hrz
Second MD: built in ATI , was getting Failed to setup X but got around that
Both displays pick 1080 and 60, 50 hrz (Side note can 120Hrz work on mce?) both displays and both MD same issue seams like the UI is changing to 1920X1080 but the Video mode is staying at 1024 as the image is huge and have to pan around to continue with AVWizard the Tv's Report Mode 1024 50Hrz still kinda new to LMCE so if need config file info please let me know what directory its in been at this 2 days now ???
thanks in advance: Jill
I think if you can get into the web administration, go to the media directors section, and you can set the resolution in the "Video Settings" and "TV Standards" fields.
For my Core/Hybrid, the Video Settings is 1280 1024/60 and the TV Standards is 1280x1024.
That may help you.

Still the same thing the Ui seams to be 1920 but the video is 1024 so like a zoomed in image can only see a 1/4 of the display at a time
small update ive now got the nvidia 295.20 driver installed and working but the 1024 issue remains going to see if i can force the 1920 in xconfig
Hi,
Just checking, you are hooked up from the Core/MD to the TV using a HDMI, DVI to HDMI, etc. type cable?
Cheers
no im useing the vga cable to the pc input O.o dose mce not support greater then 1024 over vga?
this is the part where i'm about to feel like an idiot isn't it? -_-
yes LMCE does support greater than 1024x768 thru vga... you may try using a lower resolution at first.. just to make sure everything is working okay.... and then work your way up to a higher resolution either by running the "RebootWithAVWizard.sh" script found in /usr/pluto/bin, or launch the a/v setup from the advanced screen... or modify xorg.conf and the admin media director settings manually.

didn't have any luck till manual config got it in 1920 now had to bypass the avwizard all together and put in the adapter for the addon video card and set resolutions only thing left to fix now is the UI where can i manualy tell it to use UI2 with alpha?
i cant use Avwizard at all as it gives me the failed to setup X im asumeing its jumping to the onboard card first
this is the second unit with the ati i gave up on the onboard ati and put the card from the first MD into this one
think i found the issue it was the video card it didn't support anything over 1024 on the vga so i got a DVI to VGA adapter and what do you know all is fine now :D
thanks for all the advice was even able to get the avwiz to work and got UI2 with alpha working
awesome!
