Title: Thermostat selection
Post by: Raul102801 on January 01, 2012, 11:25:07 PM
Does anyone have any comments about the Honeywell zwave thermostat on the following link?
http://m.lowes.com/mt/www.lowes.com/pd_370567-74493-YTH8320ZW1007_?PL=1&productId=3501124

I am replacing my ac/heat pump system and would like to go ahead and install a zwave thermostat to incorporate to my linuxmce installation.

By looking at the posts I can't find where anyone has used this device. It the wayne dalton thermostat listed appears to have been discontinued so in looking for a replacement I came across the link above.
Any comments or recommendations?

Thanks

I just bought a Filtrete 3M-50 - see http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php/topic,11706.0.html (http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php/topic,11706.0.html)

it is not fully supported yet but it is in the works

Yes it works ... less the new lmce thermostat scheduler.

And like all thermostats in lmce you need to manually add scenarios to set absolute temps
I made three climate scenarios HOT WARM and COOL and set them to corresponding temps in celcius.
