Title: Hello, I am new here, I have some question about security

Hello, I am looking for a system in which this delivers. However I haven't seen or can find if hooking up a Security DVR could do the same thing. What I was thinking about doing is buying a nightowl security DVR 8-CH. Is it possible to link the core to the security system?

those things seem to have very proprietary interfaces, when they have any external interfacing at all. so if its possible to have any wort of integration, its going to take a lot of work.

Oh I see.. Should I just go with Zwave for something like that then?
