Hi Everyone,
I have been having trouble trying to get a copy of the 810 final ISO, i assume everyone else is trying to do the same.
It was then I remembered seeing a LinuxMCE folder on my ISPs mirror here: http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/linuxmce/ (http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/linuxmce/)
I took a look, but it seems to have quite old stuff in it, where are they mirroring it from?
Regards,
Josh
who knows, it was probably someone there that was interested in it at some point. you could probably try to contact them and try to find out more info about it, as it was not likely anything officially affiliated with LinuxMCE.
maybe we should seed a torrentfile then?
Everybody is free to setup a torrent and/or mirror of the iso
I let internode know about the old information & they seemed interested in mirroring the current site. Will let you know how it turns out.
I've put up a torrentfile, now we need seeders!
http://www.torrentbox.com/download/1483181/LinuxMCE_8.10_final.iso.torrent (http://www.torrentbox.com/download/1483181/LinuxMCE_8.10_final.iso.torrent)
You might want to add the information about the torrent up on the download page on the wiki.
I now added the info, but not shure if that was the right place *wikiworkgroup calling*
I will get seeding when I get home.
Where have you added this information? I cannot see it.
Cheers,
Matt.
I added it here: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Mirrors
any changes welcome...
getting the torrent now.... once it is down..... i will setup a mchine for seeding purposes.......and it will run 24/7......
Got some good news from Internode today:
Hi Joshua,
Thank you for the notification regarding our LinuxMCE Mirror.
http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/linuxmce/
After investigating this issue we can now confirm that the mirror is now up to date and will continue to receive future updates.
I'm Currently downloading iso at 2.2MB/s :)
