I'm looking for a decent media director and a (non-LMCE) friend recommended a Dell Zino. Can anyone either comment on the Zino or recommend a currently available box? (UK or European availability preferably)

I know someone had it, and he had hard time to set it up.

Build your own, with zotac mini itx board and compatible case. Good luck.

The Zino has ATI graphics...so its a no go as there graphics drivers just dont support the features we need. Look for ATOM/nVidia Ion based motherboards or pre-built machines - there are plenty of threads here discussing these.
