I tested GV, the major issue which resulted in it not being an option for our usage is that DTMF is not passed on incoming calls which prevents callers from accessing the IVR generated by the system.

When did you test? Maybe test again?

"Google Voice no longer blocks DTMF. Incoming calls can send DTMF and it will be passed through to your IVR"

Figures lol...was just a few months ago when I was testing and I scrapped it altogether.  In that case...probably it is a good candidate...and an easy project for someone to get their feet wet.

I don't suppose we have a wiki for setting up GVoice with Asterisk?

los93sol,

just got gvoice working with my pbxiaf server at the shop. they have it working thru gtalk and the jabber client now.I have tested it with 2 concurrent calls, so far so good.

not sure if this helps, but take a lookt, http://pbxinaflash.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8625
