Title: vdr and pvrinput
Post by: aico on August 28, 2010, 12:02:34 AM
Hi,

i try to use a WinTV PVR2 USB capture card with vdr - I have seen that I need the pvrinput plugin to get this work - is there a possibility to install this vdr-plugin using apt-get?

Thanks

The pvrinput plugin is known for not being very stable.

If you have had different experience with VDR and the pvrinput let me know. Unfortunately, there are no source packages available of the pvrinput.

hmmm...

if pvrinput is not so good - what can I use?
VDR tells me "Channel not available" but when I use w_pvrscan - it findes the channels?

This is my channels.conf

:analog TV
Haustuere;w_pvrscan:217250:TV|PAL:V:0:301:300:305:0:1:0:3476:0
composite;w_pvrscan:1:PVRINPUT|COMPOSITE0|PAL:V:0:301:300:305:0:1:0:9001:0
s-video;w_pvrscan:1:PVRINPUT|SVIDEO0|PAL:V:0:301:300:305:0:1:0:9002:0

Thanks!

I do not have any knowledge about the PVR plugin. If you need to use the PVR card to get your TV, you might want to consider MythTV which was build for analog TV.

Thanks!

'Channel Not-available' can mean that the tuner is already in use - that may well be whats causing the problem.

All the best
