Hia,
after running apt-get update and apt-get upgrade today, the database was updated, but the device template for my amplifier is gone - all the IR codes were uncorrectly assigned. Investigating, i figured that Uses Group/Codeset (under AV Devices -> AV Properties) were changed to a "pronto codeset" instead of mantaining the codeset i earlier defined.. The templates for my tape dek and my tuner are there correct.
Could someone please explain why did it happen?
TIA,
Paulo

I'm guessing a database update happened, which wiped out the IR database codes.

You should modify your template appropriately, and then work with us to check it into the master database. This way, it will be available to all.

Ok. My template works. It's not complete yet because of the lack of some information (posted in other posts) but it works pretty fine.
How do i work with you in order to:
1) being able to complete the codeset;
2) making it available to all?
TIA,
Paulo

go ahead and complete the code set, when it's ready to check in, do an sqlCVS update of the DCE and IR repositories, using the sqlCVS menu in Web Admin...

after you've done this, make sure your template is okay, then:

Go to http://svn.linuxmce.org/ and make a trac ticket for your template.

use sqlCVS diff to check it in, leaving the credentials as anonymous.

reference the trac ticket # in the comment field. this is important, so we can track it down.

Once this is done, we will verify that it is okay, and approve it.

Once this is done, your template will be available to others, and can then be selected in the setup wizard.

Thom,
The main question to complete it is:
remote control does have a numeric pad 1 to 12.
each key (from 1 to 12) send a DSP mode code.
each key (from 1 to 12) when pressed twice, sends another DSP mode code.
some of these keys have a a triple mode (pressed three times) sending another DSP mode code.
How do i define a DSP mode with a key pressed two times with an interval of 0.5 to 2 seconds between the hits?
The same for the keys pressed three times within a given interval of 0.5 to 2 seconds?
These are the only remaining questions i have to complete the codeset for the Yamaha DSP-A1 (which also may fit for other Yamaha high-end amps with multiple DSP modes).
TIA,
Paulo
