I am going to install the new Beta 2.6 (fresh install) release tonight. I just downloaded LinuxMCE-8.10-22812-i386.iso from http://linuxmce.iptp.org/snapshots/

Do I need to get the new installer from http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/new-installer-latest.tar.gz? or that is only for internet install?

I am going to install from the downloaded DVD ISO image.

should I run the following before I run LinuxMCE icon?
Code:
sudo su - #This might ask for the password you specified earlier during the install of kubuntu.
apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
any suggestions?

Boot from the DVD, select Linuxmce, then from the KDE Desktop doubleclick "LinuxMCE" and wait till it is done, after that reboot and the AVwizard will come up.

ccoudsi,

I tried your performing the install as you suggested, but I'm seeing the brief MySQL error, and then the system reboots and repeats the process. Any ideas?

**Update**

After a reboot the system comes up and stays up, but the AVWizard doesn't come up. When I press the buttons that correspond to the output of my TV it says that it's not supported. This happens with both DVI and VGA connections.
