Hi all

after a LONG while I'm trying to get my MythTv working again.

My hybrid has a Hauppauge PVR 350 that used to work fine up to .39 allowing me to watch live tv and most of all to schedule recordings.

Now MythTv loos like not working. By looking at system message it looks like there is a problem with ivtv, that actually is issuing some warning messages like:

Googling arount I've read that this could be related to ivtv release and/or to MythTv.

Whatever is the reason, MythTv is not working and not being able to record favorite shows has a deep negative impact on WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor).

Is anyone out there that can help me making a clear picture of what's going on?

Hi,

I also have PVR 350 setup that used to work quite good (except every few recordings one is without sound) and recently spotted that all recordings are all empty - although few recordings after upgrade we're still ok, but now it seems that hard reboot that usually changes firmware in card cause that state. So I looked into dmesg and saw same errors.

So my mythtv setup is also not working...

I'll post mantis thread...

Hi,

it seems that another cold reboot (switch power cord off/on) solved problem. It seems that something was upgraded after release...

HI Rob

I followed your suggestion so I cold rebooted my hybrid (also unplugged power cord) and next reboot went fine. IVTV error messages disappeared and all seemed to wor fine. Then I started MythTv player and my system crashed (not totally, still able to ssh and use remote orbiter, but no other media playable)
I had no chance than reboot again, but then IVTV messages reappeared.

So I think there is still something wrong probably on firmware loading.

I have been beating on Myth in Pluto for some time. I have determined that there are some bugs in the autoconfig scripts and Pluto is working on them. MythTV is so complex that integrating it is really challenging.

I'm using the HDHomerun networked tuner and the promise of auto setup is close. When they have the scripts working for me I will post.

in my case cold reboot (switch power cord off also) helped. Not sure if this will for you ....
