Xine will use the WebAdmin settings for VDPAU, use VDPAU or AUTO.

MPlayer should be using the WebAdmin settings.  There is a patch but is has not been applied to the source yet, I think this will happen soon and then MPlayer will use the WebAdmin settings for video and VDPAU will work at that time in MPlayer.

thanks a lot for that!
i think using VDPAU is a great feature and improvement - looking forward to hear from your results.

do you change anything else then the parameter passed to mplayer?

Is this the only setting needed for vdpau? -

wizard->devices->media directors:  Hardware Acceleration pull-down -> auto

Thanks.  I saw earlier posts referring to configuring Xine/Mplayer in their own config and wanted to be sure this wasn't necessary.
