Has anyone looked into using google voice as the telephony portal of linuxmce? Would it even be possible?

Yep

It looks possible,   pbxinaflash has some scripts on nerdvittles that create the required trunks settings to allows Google voice to be used.

I would think those could be modified for use in lmce.

Just my 2 cents
but with the current exchange rate that's not much Grin

Old topic, I know, but I'd really like to see this... and if GV call-out were to be implemented, Google Contacts integration would be a must-have feature.  (There's a topic about this here - http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=9115.0)

Haven't had time to start this, priorities got switched to building furniture for a nursery. The stork brings my son in April.
