a question about sources
« on: December 07, 2009, 07:43:14 pm »
Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/universe/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz  404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.31 80]
anyone else got this for the apt-get updates?
I did a little snooping on that server and found this location instead:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid/universe/binary-i386/Packages.gz
is this the correct location for that and should we update the sources accordingly?

I just screwed up my installation going from Beta to Beta2 trying to install the latest nvidia driver "195.22" from "180.60, 2.6.27-16-generic, i868" driver before I did the "apt-get update & dist-upgrade"

Then I started from scratch using the installer script "wget -c http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/new-installer-beta2.tar.gz" , and I got bunch of errors, during the upgrade process I noticed specifically some errors from "http://archive.ubuntu.com universe" server.

Can someone list the correct "/etc/apt/sources.list" ???
Current installation is using "180.60, 2.6.27-16-generic, i868" nvidia driver do I need to upgrade the driver??? my card is 'e-Geforce 7200GS"
