LinuxMCE Voicemail and Recordings
« on: March 18, 2009, 04:43:30 am »
Hi Guys

I am having a little trouble setting up linuxmce with an SPA3102, I have inboind and outbound calls working fine via VOIP and PSTN, when I try to access my voicemail or make a system recording I do not get any responce from Asterisk.

Is there an issue with LinuxMCE and asterisk I am using LinuxMCE DVD Build 2 version of the software

Any help would be much appreciated it is starting to bug me to be so close to having this working and not quite there

Regards.

Jamie

Seach SPA3102 on the forum. There is a large thread on this already, including a wiki page (search here: wiki.linuxmce.org)

Hi Guys

I have not been able to work out why my voicemail codes are not working on linuxmce, I have recently set up a trixbox system for a family member and the same SPA 3102 works fine on trixbox plug it into linuxmce and none of the phone codes work.

Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution.

Thanks again.

Jamie.

If I pick up my phone and dial *97 to access my voice mail I have no response, if I try and set up IVR from the admin area it asks me to dial *99 and nothing happens.

I have no playback of recorded messages if I dial home for voice mail to answer, I also have no sound if I try and forward a call to my mobile the call forwards fine however once answered no sound in either direction.

My linuxmce is on a DMZ zone so this can't be causing the issue.

Other than this everything work great.

If you are able to offer any suggestions as to what is wrong and how I can fix this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Jamie.

I think that the project Asterisk Voicemail for iPhone might be interesting for all owners of iPhone and users of PBX Asterisk. It allows to list messages, listen to messages, display caller-id information, delete messages, move messages, return calls and change voicemail settings all from your iPhone. All you need to install additional software on your Asterisk box. That software is also can be used in LinuxMCE. Because it comes with FreePBX to organize home telephony.

Make sure your DTMF mode on the SPA3102 and in the phone setup for extensions on the web admin page is set to inband.
