Hello there,

I am sorry to bother the developers who are really working hard at the moment. I know one of them using hauppauge 1600 successfully, my research says ,, it should be plug in play in these recent kernels. looks like its driver cx18 is stable as well.

Are we ever going to support the card ?  I have sitting it and HD homerun is little bit expensive at the moment to afford Tongue

I hope some one reply me to get this card to get going. Also,, looks like a lot of user has this card already. If you support the card, it will help others too.

Thank you all guys. God bless you.

take care.

Got this card working on my core/no luck on my MD, using http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HVR-1600.

If you have an nvidia graphics card , you may have to follow this section on that: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HVR-1600#Workaround_for_NVIDIA_restricted_driver_users

Did not get the created device template to work though, configured it through mythtv. There is another post which the guy indicated he has a working template, can't remember, search the forum for the card.

Why don't one of you write a device driver for LinuxMCE to support this card?

Sounds like a plan, Unfortunately I am just a regular ubuntu user.. barely learned using terminal recently. Writing a device driver is beyond my scope  Tongue
But atleast I can comment that a lot of people out there has this card. So any efforts will worth for the community.

Thanks. for replies guys.

Take care.
