DVD's are not auto recognized when ripping them
« on: December 23, 2009, 11:11:52 am »
Hi,

previously when ripping DVD's tehy were recognized and automatically tagged. That does not work anylonger. Just tried to start a DVD that I am sure it was previously working and it is not recognized - menaing the title in the UI is "Unknown". Using latest 0810 beta2 and tested it on the core

Any ideas why ?

It do?
I did some research re this several month ago. It do not work for me. I´m in Sweden.
It seem our EMI (external media identifier) cannot speak to Microsoft Meta Service anymore.
What movies did you rip? Where are you located?

People, all of you that read this thread.
Please tell if you can rip dvd´s and if they are automatically identified together with info which country you live in.

In the past week the following have been successful with covers and data:
12 Monkeys
8 Mile
Akira
Aladdin
Big Trouble in Little China
Death Race 2000
The Big Lebowski
Die Another Day (007)
World Is Not Enough (007)

There were a couple titles that did not get data correctly:
The Best of the Blues Brothers
The Abyss: Special Edition

I'm in Canada.

The Matrix.dvd
Erasor.dvd
Gladiator.dvd
Ocean's Twelve.dvd
Ruby & Quentin.dvd
Sleepy Hollow.dvd
The Green Mile.dvd
The Sixth Sense.dvd
Wild Wild West.dvd

I know that "The Matrix" has previously worked.
